The history of our estate began in 1827 – at that time a stately farm with a coaching inn. The foundation stone for the hotel in its current form was laid in 1989. Bärbel Fauth-Stangl has been managing the family business since 1998, assisted by her son Ludwig since 2014. A passion for hospitality and warmth continue to characterize every moment – together with their dedicated team, they create unforgettable stays for our guests.

Vacation
Now that we've finally managed to stay overnight at the Stangl, despite its absurdly close proximity, and not just eat or have breakfast there, I'd like to finally write a review: For me, it's truly one of the most "special" hotels we've ever stayed in. We've known for a long time that the food is phenomenal, and the breakfast (even for non-guests!) is like a mini-vacation, but staying overnight here is also a great pleasure!
Even without a wellness area and the like.
This is partly because it's a real little hideaway, but partly and especially because of the friendly staff… We've rarely been treated so warmly and attentively anywhere… You really feel like a valued guest, and not many places can do that! In that sense, it's almost a shame that we live so close and will only rarely stay overnight… Well, at least we can always go to the wonderful restaurant or one of the many events they offer.

We went to Gasthof Stangl in Vaterstetten for dinner with friends and were absolutely delighted! The interior is very cozy and immediately makes you feel at home. The food was truly excellent – everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted fantastic. A particularly nice touch: they have a great children's menu with fun kids' cocktails, which makes it a very enjoyable experience for families. The service was extremely attentive and friendly without being intrusive. While the prices are a bit higher, they are absolutely justified given the generous portions and the quality. We will definitely be back – highly recommended!

I stayed at the inn with my partner and a colleague, as we were attending Oktoberfest in Munich as part of a business trip. We deliberately chose a hotel located a bit outside the festival grounds – and it was the right decision. The country inn was an absolute gem: beautiful rooms and a fantastic interior. We immediately felt at home, as the atmosphere was so cozy. The rooms were spotlessly clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice for our taste; everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was always friendly and accommodating, and there was ample parking right at the hotel. We will definitely be back next year!
